We know Peter’s grandmother must be proud. When he was little she taught him how to make marshmallows, and Peter, in the family tradition, taught his son, Ethan, the craft. Peter made up stories for his son about a boy named Marshall Mallow who lived in a land where marshmallow trees grew. One day while picking mallows, Marshall hoped to pick strawberry and lemon mallows from the tree. And thus, Peter’s flavored mallows were born. It was just a matter of time before Marshall’s mallows dipped into the caramel river and immersed themselves under a waterfall of luscious dark chocolate! After perfecting the taste, texture and technique, Peter and his wife, Jennifer, founded Pete’s Gourmet Confections, a kosher candy company in Southern Oregon. Known for their eco-kosher marshmallows and artisan chocolates, all handmade in small batches, Pete’s Gourmet makes s’mores and other marshmallow treats, a year-round necessity.
